Stettler Wildcats overpowered by Bow Valley in championship final

Despite a great fight, Stettler Wildcats fell to Bow Valley in the provincial championship game in Calgary on Saturday, Nov. 26.

Both Wildcats and Bow Valley couldn't have asked for better weather as they faced each other in a clash-of-the-titans game at Hellard Field in Calgary on Saturday, Nov. 26 in the tier IV provincial championship game.

Although Wildcats took an early lead with 7-0, Bow Valley kept attacking the Stettler defence till they were able to take the lead and finally managed to score three touchdowns to win the championship 22-13.

"It was not the way that we wanted to end our season, but we did have a great year with a 9-3 record," Head Coach Norbert Baharally said. "I was very proud of our team for playing right until the end of the game an not giving up."
