Stettler Storm Peewee B sits at the top of the other three teams in the Tier 6 SouthEast standings, and look to finish at the top this season.
On Sunday, Feb. 5 they defeated Drumheller in a home game, 9-4.
Earlier in the weekend of Jan. 27, Stettler Peewees hosted a three-day peewee tournament.
The first game they played was against Blackfalds, which they won convincingly 7-2 on Friday night, Jan. 27. This was followed by their second win against Okotoks Oilers, 6-5 and on Saturday, Jan. 28 by another win against Airdrie Shock, 3-2.
“The kids played hard with a positive attitude all weekend, which helped them maintain their undefeated lead,” said Nadine Lang, team manager. “This gave them enough momentum into the final game vs. Okotoks Green on Sunday.”
Stettler defeated Okotoks Green, 7-0.
This coming weekend, Stettler Peewee B faces Brooks and Drumheller in two away games, followed by a home game on Sunday, Feb. 12 against Drumheller at 1:45 p.m.
