The Stettler Lightning wrapped up their Heritage Junior Hockey League pre-season with a 6-1 victory over the host Ponoka Stampeders last Wednesday night.

Kyler O’Connor and Adam Ternes, with a three-point night, each scored two goals and singles went to Joel Meredith and Dylan Houston. O’Connor, Meredith, Houston, Landon Potter and Scott Ternes each collected two points. Jeff Skaley, with 17 saves, went the distance in the Stettler net.

The Lightning, 3-0 in exhibition play, open the regular season this Friday night when they visit the Three Hills Thrashers.
