Quinton Van Straten competes in the tie-down roping event at the Alberta High School Rodeo Finals in Ponoka, June 13 to 15. He placed sixth in the event and won’t be attending nationals.
However, Allie Hiemstra of Big Valley placed second in the goat tying and Hope Skocdopole of Big Valley placed fourth in pole bending; both girls will be attending nationals.
