NORMAN - Vivian Aleda Feb. 18, 1937 – Nov. 24, 2008. Vivian Norman of Olds, AB, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Monday, Nov. 24, 2008 at the age of 71 years. Vivian fought a very courageous battle with COPD. She will be lovingly missed by her children Les (Dawn) Finnigan of Edmonton, AB, Julie Ince of Calgary, AB, Kelly (Dave) Siemens of Olds, AB, Darren (Fran) Regnier of Weyburn, SK, Jason (Trudy) Regnier of Birch Hills, SK; son-in-law Dale Wood; step-children Wayne (Kim) and Donna (Larry); 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters: Alma (Harry) Schultz, Esther (Jim) Adair, Evelyn (Ken) Pfeiffer, Sylvia (Alan) Jones; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends. Vivian was born and raised in the farming community of Donalda, AB. She loved music, but for the last few years she was unable to enjoy it because of the sudden loss of her hearing. Vivian loved animals, especially her cats, she could grow the most beautiful plants and her favourite activity was shopping. She had a love for coffee and chocolate and enjoyed them to the end. Vivian’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved their “mormor” and brought her such pride and joy. Vivian was predeceased by her daughter Teresa Wood in 2004; parents Gust and Marta, sister Bertha; brothers: Evert, Albert (Dagny), and Leo; niece Arleen Jacobson and one great-nephew Jeremy Kent. Funeral service was held on Friday, Nov. 28, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the Sharon Lutheran Church, Donalda with Pastor Rick Laurendeau officiating. Vivian was laid to rest near her parents, brothers and sister in the Spruce Coulee Cemetery, Donalda.
