McKNIGHT, Jean Elizabeth
July 27, 1935 - Feb. 15, 2017
With great sadness we announce Jean's passing. A resident of the Nevis and Erskine farming communities, since 1973, Jean was an active member of the Nevis community and many other charities and organizations. Jean was an avid weaver, spinner and knitter and she even had her own herd of sheep for many years. Jean had a great love for family gatherings, camping trips, family reunions, ball tournaments and singing songs by the campfire and all things farming.
Jean is survived by her loving family: children: Jim (Judy) McKnight of Erskine, Bill McKnight of Stettler, Linda McKnight of Calgary and Scott (Lylas) McKnight of Stettler;
grandchildren: Robert McKnight, Ingrid McKnight (Paul Allen-Laferriere), Jason (Sarah) McKnight, Megan (Nick) Brereton, Kimberly (Adam) McCreery, Mark McKnight and Jessica McKnight (Chad Crowshaw); great grandchildren: Bailey, Madik, Adeline, Riley, Lundy, Shae and Radie; brother Don Finlay; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many dear friends. Jean was predeceased by her husband Harold Thomas McKnight and brother Jack Finlay.
A celebration of Jean's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 24, 2017 in the Heartland Chapel of Stettler Funeral Home. In remembrance of Jean, may we suggest a donation to the Alberta Lung Association or a charity of your choice c/o
