Jaunita Hazel RICHARDSON

December 19, 2008

RICHARDSON - Jaunita Hazel passed away at Coronation on Friday, Dec. 19, 2008 at the age of 92.  She was born June 2, 1916 at Czar, AB to Spoor and Hazel (Ettinger) Cole. She was a sister for Donald and Gordon. She lost her mother when she was 10 years old.  Her father later married Esther Holmstrom and Jaunita gained a sister, Betty Cole. Raised with two brothers, Jaunita enjoyed being outdoors hunting coyotes, cougars, and gophers. She thought all girls did that! She was very creative, whether it was gardening, carpentry, crafts, or writing Sunday School Christmas programs. Jaunita married James Smith Richardson of Battle Ridge, AB on Nov. 6, 1935. Jaunita was  a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a lot of fun and always tried to arrange for her children to have their friends over for various activities. She did the same for her grandchildren.  She always welcomed visitors into her home anytime of the day or night. James and Jaunita farmed most of their life. When they retired, they moved to Stettler where their friends could visit for the day when they came to town. Jaunita lost James, the love of her life, in 2004. They had a close and loving relationship. Jaunita dearly missed his reading, companionship and daily assistance.
