COWAN

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Helen May Cowan of Regina, Saskatchewan on June 20, 2016.

Helen was born to Clifford and Frances at the Stettler Hospital on July 18, 1966. She attended Waverly School for grades 1-9, graduating in 1984. Helen had several jobs, starting with babysitting neighbours children, clerk at the local Ice Cream Store, a couple summers being a helping hand on the family farm, giving 10 years of her life to the ministry and support worker and at several Day Care facilities. In 1985 she went to Saskatchewan to live and work and remained there until her passing.

Helen had the ability to recognize true need in others, and was willing to help with their need.

Helen will be remembered for her big smile and bright eyes.

She is lovingly remembered by her parents Clifford and Frances Cowan of Stettler; sister Theresa Cowan of Stettler; brother Raymond (Tracy) Cowan and their son Jayden of Stettler; nephew Dustin (Miranda) Cowan and their children Makayla, Carson and Levi of Stettler; brother in law Murray Davidson of Stettler as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Hazel; grandparents George and Sarah Cowan, Alex and Florence Cameron as well as several aunts and uncles.

Funeral Services for the late Helen Cowan were held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Stettler Funeral Home. Ministers officiating were Kevin Cowan, Jack Reddekopp and Valerie Colli. Musician Adrienne Sinclair played for the hymns; Wilma MacDonald gave loving tribute. Pallbearers were Sam Church, Earl Cowan, Dale Cowan, Rodney Cameron, Raymond Cowan and George Cowan as Helen was laid to rest in Lake View Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers were All Of Helen's Family And Friends.

Funeral service for Helen will be held at Speers Funeral Home, Regina on July 4, 2016 at 3:00 PM.

Family and friends gathered in the Heartland Reception Centre for a time of fellowship and a luncheon by Teresa's Catering Staff. Memorial donations may be made to the Children's Make a Wish Foundation c/o Stettler Funeral Home, Box 1780, Stettler, AB, T0C 2L0.
