NORRIS - Gordon Edwin, passed away peacefully at the Pine Ridge Care Center in Stettler, AB, Aug. 29, 2008. He was born in Youngstown, AB on Dec. 14, 1917 to Mary and Nate Norris. He lived all his life in the Stettler area and married Muriel Dykstra in 1942. Predeceased by his parents; infant sister Connie; brother Galen and sister Faye Combest, Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 65 plus years Muriel; son Doug (Claudia) of Sylvan Lake, AB; daughter Doreen (Dick) Campion of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Cheryl (Kerry) Rempel of Edmonton, AB, Colleen (Rick) Busse of Camrose, AB, Rick (Kathy) Campion of Calgary and Michelle (Steve) Stawiarski of Calgary; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Rempel, Megan Rempel, Nathan Busse, Jared Busse, Sam Campion, Connor Stawiarski and Kylie Stawiarski; brothers, Lee (Ruth) Norris of Calgary and Dale (Alice) Norris of Red Deer, AB; sister Marion (David) Kaufman of Calgary; sisters-in-law, Isabelle Norris of Calgary and Kay McKay of Stettler; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Funeral service was held Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008 in The Heartland Chapel of Stettler Funeral Home, 4707 – 70th Street, Stettler, Alberta with Susan Nelson officiating.
