GRAHAM – Mrs. Frances Mary of Byemoor, AB passed away suddenly on Friday, Dec. 5, 2008 at the age of 74 years. Frances was born in Byemoor the only child to Frank and Mary Carless. She attended Summer Hill School and then went on to attend Grade 11 in Endiang, AB. She grew up on the family farm and loved farm life. She married Bill Graham, the love of her life, on Aug. 29, 1953 and together they raised their family and farmed south of Byemoor. Frances was a very hard worker and loved her husband and family very much. Their home was always filled with neighbours and friends who would drop in for coffee and a visit but never leave without at least having a little something to eat! Like her mother, she always had room for one more at the table and was always making home made goodies of some sort. She loved to play the piano and sing and both of these she did very well. She also enjoyed crocheting, gardening and curling but most of all she always looked forward to traveling south for the winter with Bill which they did together for over 27 years. For the last few years however, Frances struggled with Alzheimer¹s Disease and Bill selflessly tended to her day and night. On Oct. 16 of this year, as her disease progressed, Frances was admitted to the Hanna Long Term Care where the staff could assist Bill in looking after her, a decision that was to be the most difficult of Bill¹s life. Frances was a very vivacious and outgoing person and was best known for her ringing laughter and bright beautiful smile which would always light up the entire room. Frances is survived by her loving husband Bill, son Jim (Lynn) Graham of Calgary, AB and daughter Marylin (Jim) Norlie of Craigmyle, AB; grandchildren Greg (Megan) Graham of Byemoor, Jennifer Graham of Craigmyle and Allan Norlie also of Craigmyle as well as many cousins other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at the Byemoor Community Hall on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Following the service interment will take place in the Byemoor Cemetery. Family and friends will then gather back at the Community Hall for the reception and fellowship which will be graciously served by the Byemoor Community Club. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society in care of Brennen Funeral Home (2001) Ltd., P.O.
