Emery passed peacefully in his sleep at home in Big Valley, Alberta.

He is survived by his younger sister Irene (Bernie Eurchuk); daughter Dorothy Elizabeth; son James Spencer; as well as a myriad of Crosby, Eurchuk and Vance nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Emery was a retired technical writer for Valmet Automation; he was a passionate Dry Island Buffalo Jump Provincial Park volunteer and a lover of good music who enjoyed playing the guitar.

To honor Emery’s wishes no formal funeral service will be held. In memory of Emery please make a donation to the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology in Drumheller or the Heart and Stroke Foundation c/o Stettler Funeral Home & Crematorium, Box 1780, Stettler, Alberta T0C 2L0, 403-742-3422, who were entrusted with the care and arrangements.
