CORINNE LAFRANCE
It is with great sadness that the family of Corinne LaFrance-Renz announces her passing on May 21, 2012 at the age of 74 years. Corinne was born June 7, 1937 to parents William (Bill) and Alma LaFrance in Leoville, Saskatchewan. Corinne is survived by her loving husband Gerry Renz; her children: son Barry (Ruby) Nielsen and their children Barbara (Steve), John, Kristina and James; son Dwayne (Gisele) Nielsen and their children Bryan, Amie (Justin), Erin (Arnold); daughter Jeanette (Allan) Williams and their son Lane; great grandchildren: Brody, Alexis, Dallas and Ethan; her brothers and sisters: Dolly Potts, Theresa Penner, Lloyd (Arlene) LaFrance, Leonard (Linda) LaFrance, Gayle (Bob) Yerxa; numerous nieces, nephews and cherished friends. Corinne was predeceased by her parents, her sister Jeanette, infant son Laine, brothers in law Norman Potts, Ronald Potts and Henry Penner and nephew Darrell LaFrance.
Funeral services were held at the Heartland Chapel of Stettler Funeral Home on Monday May 28 with Pastor Karl Faltin officiating. Son Dwayne Nielsen read tributes from all of the family members. A DVD presentation was lovingly prepared by the family. Pallbearers were Terry LaFrance, Greg LaFrance, Darrell Bouvier, James Nielsen, John Nielsen and Justin Anderson as she was laid to rest at Lake View Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation or to STARS. Family and friends gathered in the Heartland Reception Centre for a time of fellowship and a luncheon by Eilleen Bullard. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.stettlerfuneralhome.com
