Carolyn Muriel (Mace) Victor
Carolyn was born January 4, 1948 at the Innisfail Hospital, Innisfail, AB, and passed away April 19, 2017 at the Lacombe General Hospital, Lacombe AB, at the age of 69 years.
Carolyn was the eldest daughter of Oliver and Mildred Mace. She was raised in the Innisfail area and took all of her early schooling there. Carolyn attended the University of Edmonton where she received her Bachelor Degree in Education.
Carolyn married Dennis Victor, July 25, 1970 and they resided through out the years in Edmonton, AB, Inuvik, NWT and Whitehorse, Yukon finally settling near Erskine where they resided until her passing.
Carolyn was a dedicated teacher and taught at all of the schools where they lived. Upon retiring from teaching, Carolyn worked at the Stettler Regional Day Care Centre. Dennis and Carolyn travelled the world extensively. Carolyn was an avid gardener, naturalist and outdoor person, she spent countless hours caring for her massive flower beds, trees, shrubs and vegetable gardens. Carolyn had a love for nature and received a Recycling Award from the Town of Stettler for her dedication.
Carolyn was predeceased by her parents, Oliver and Mildred Mace. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 47 years, Dennis; sister Judy (Mike) Brunner of Priddis, AB; sisters-in-law Jo Lena (Ron) Hennel and Debbie Victor (Stuart) all of Stettler; brother Leni (Sandy) of Red Deer, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A Celebration in honour of Carolyn's life will be held at the home of Dennis and Carolyn, Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 2 PM to 4 PM.
