DAVIS (NEE WEBSTER)

Beverley Anne

Bev passed away very peacefully at the Southpark Meadows Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Centre in Austin, Texas on February 14, 2016.

Born October 7, 1941 in Stettler, predeceased by her mother Kay (Webster) Anderson, stepfather Joe Anderson, JR., father Dick Webster, brother Dickie, sister Marjorie, nephew Doug Welty, JR., her brother-in-laws Doug Welty SR. and Ronald Ish. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Dot Ish of Medicine Hat and Margaret Webster of Toronto, ON. Nieces Dianne (Ed) Liegman, Brenda (Gary) Fransen), Tammy Ish, Rhonda (Claud) Parahoniak, Wendy Welty and Nephews Tom (Sharmaine) Caldwell, David Welty and many great and great great nieces and nephews, cousins, plus many friends around the world.

Bev worked in the Stettler Hospital for a short time as a nursing aid and eventually moved to Winnipeg and obtained her practical nursing training certificate. From Winnipeg she moved to Sarnia, ON and worked at St. Joseph's Hospital. She eventually moved to Texas and worked in Beaumont, Galveston, and Nassau Bay. Due to illness Bev eventually moved to Austin.

In Bev's younger years she loved to travel and spent time touring Europe and the British Isles. She made many friends during this time and kept in touch with many of them over the years. Bev loved people and always put their needs ahead of her own. She loved to write letters and kept in touch with so many until her health started to fail. The past three years were very difficult for her, but she always had a big smile for everyone and a good laugh no matter how terrible she felt.

One of her favourite highlights in Texas was meeting Lady Bird Johnson while attending a book signing by Lady Bird Johnson which was published by a dear friend of Bev's.

In keeping with Bev's wishes, she was cremated, and will be put to rest beside her brother Dickie and dad at the Stettler Cemetery.

A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date by her family.
