An second year Augustana student has received a scholarship through the University of Alberta’s campus in Camrose.

Morgan B. Van Dusen of Stettler, who’s a Bachelor of Science/Education student, has been awarded $1,500 through the Professor Murray Lauber Scholarship.

Van Dusen is one of three hundred and forty-six students to receive a scholarship from the UAlberta Augustana Campus in the 2017-2018 academic year.

Lacey Flemming, who is an Awards and Financial Aid Administrator at Augustana says, “The scholarship is awarded to a student who has superior academic achievement, so an average above 95%, who’s entering their second year of study in a Bachelor of Science, with a major in Mathematics and Physics.”

Flemming adds, “We’re really delighted to have so many community sponsors who donate in the form of named awards, and this is one of those donor funded awards.”

Over $749,500 has been provided this year through the Univeristy of Alberta and the Augustana Campus in the areas of Academics, Fine Arts, Athletics and Leadership.

The bursaries are funded through support from donors, investment earnings on endowments, and faculty-funded awards.
