Stettler RCMP nabs female, charges her with various offences

Stettler RCMP was quick to respond on Friday, March 3 when they were alerted to a lone female checking for unlocked vehicles.

Stettler RCMP was quick to respond on Friday, March 3 when they were alerted to a lone female checking for unlocked vehicles in a parking lot here in town.

Spotted in the early afternoon, the 34-year old Roseanna Connor was seen walking around, checking for unlocked vehicles and rummaging through the ones she found unsecured.

Connor was located and arrested, and has been charged with a number of offences including Theft, Resist Arrest and Possession of Controlled Substances.

Her next court date is scheduled for later this month.

Property found in Connor’s possession have been returned to the rightful owners, according to Stettler RCMP.

With the economy still down, incidents of theft and break and enter are rampant across the province.

Stettler RCMP urges and continues to encourage residents to lock their vehicles when unoccupied and to either remove valuables or secure them in the trunk or out of sight.
