A lengthy investigation culminated in the arrest of a 41-year-old Stettler man at his residence on Wednesday, Dec. 21.
Merle Mahoney has been charged with possession of cannabis marijuana, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, unsafe storage of a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Stettler RCMP, RCMP CLEAR Team (Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and Response Team) raided a Stettler apartment where they found crystal methamphetamine, cannabis marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a firearm.
Police executed the warrant on Mahoney's apartment with CLEAR, with Stettler Fire and Rescue and Stettler EMS on hand for decontamination and in case of any accidents.
Mahoney was arrested and is scheduled to appear in court today, Dec. 23.
