The Ponoka RCMP responded to a call on July 10th of a motorcycle crash which occurred on Hwy. 792, just north of Hwy. 53 West.
Shortly after 7:33 p.m., the RCMP, including Ponoka Traffic Services, with EMS and STARS attended the location of the crash.
One 56-year-old male from Ponoka, who was the lone rider on the motorcycle, was transported to an Edmonton hospital in critical condition. On July 13th, the man succumbed to his injuries while in the hospital.
The cause of the collision, which resulted in the motorcycle going off the road into the ditch, remains under investigation by the RCMP. There are no updates anticipated in relation to this investigation.
