KidSport BBQ fundraiser hosted by local businesses

On Saturday, June 3, three local businesses came together to host a barbecue fundraiser for Stettler KidSport.

On Saturday, June 3, three local businesses Jensen Flooring, Automotive Buy and Sell, and Guns ‘n’ Games Source for Sports came together to host a barbecue fundraiser for Stettler KidSport.

“KidSport in Stettler gives around $60,000 annually to help children get involved in everything from sports to dance to martial arts,” said Darrel Baltimore, one of the board members, who was present. “We provide the funding to cover the fees for activities to children, who otherwise would not be able to participate.”

According to Baltimore, the funds get the kids involved in areas that help to mould them into better people.

“The barbecue on Saturday was put on by three local organizations that helped raise some funds for KidSport, and it was a good turnout,” Baltimore said.
