Botha Valentine dance in the very near future

Botha community getting set for bingo every second Wednesday

One special guy in our little community celebrated his birthday on Tuesday 23. Happy Belated Birthday Brandon Morris, hope you had a great one.

Coffee Hour is every Wednesday starting at 10 a.m. at the Senior Centre. So take a break away from your busy schedules and join your friends there.

Then every second Wednesday evening is bingo time. These start at 7:15 p.m. so make sure you come and get your cards and get ready to play by then. Everyone is welcome to join in the excitement. The next Bingo evening will be on January 31.

Every Thursday at 1 p.m. is floor curling time starting at 1 p.m. so come and join them in this fun and exciting event.

Looking for a great hall to rent for a very reasonable price. Call Shawn Derr at 403-742-4811, and reserve your spot at the Botha Hall. It’s a great place to hold your special event in.

Sunday 28, the Old Tyme Dance Club will be holding their Valentine’s Day Dance starting at 1:30 p.m. This is a family event, so everyone is invited out regardless of age. Seeing it’s the Valentine Dance please feel free to wear something red in color. The “Black Velvet Band” will the entertaining band that afternoon, so sounds like a great time. These also hold a potluck luncheon at 5 p.m. so the committee would like everyone who attends to bring with you buns/sandwiches, salads or desert to share at this time.

The next Senior Meeting will be held on February 6, starting at 12 noon sharp, so please keep this in mind, and hopefully all seniors will be able to attend these special meetings.

Quilting happens again on Monday 29, starting at 9:30 a.m., so come on out for a great day.

How’s your monthly challenges coming along for all students and families? Good, I hope, as these have to be at the school tomorrow at 9 a.m., as everyone is anxious to see your new hand cranked cranes or hydraulic cranes you have invented. Hopefully everyone is having fun with these monthly challenges and can’t wait till February one is announced. These are very creative projects and the whole family can get involved with these exciting projects, so remember to have the January ones at the school tomorrow by 9 a.m. please.

Also head down to the ice arena and have fun with your friends on the ice.
