The Hub was packed last Wednesday, April 20, as floor curlers from around central Alberta descended on Stettler for the annual Stettler Floor Curling bonspiel.

Sixteen different teams took part in the tournament, broken into divisions of eight.

In the first division, Bawlf took first, with Stettler's Anna Brady team taking second. Galahad came in third.

In the second division, Camrose No. 2 took first, Bashaw took second, and Halkirk's Adolf Heier team took third.

Teams came from Bawlf, Endiang, Halkirk, Daysland, Camrose, Big Valley, Galahad, Castor, Bashaw, Botha, and Stettler.

According to Hans Cluver, one of the event organizers, "it would be nice if more people between 40-60 would join in at the activities held at the Hub." He encouraged people to come and find out the various types of activities held at the Hub, located upstairs at the Stettler Recreation Centre.
