Town of Stettler Councillors met on Tuesday afternoon(Jan.30) to pore over the 2018 Capital Budget.
Council voted to go with their administration’s recommendation of $6,110,582.21 to be spent in the next year across 12 areas.
Of this, $2,241,322 will be funded through various grants, such as M.S.I, the Basic Municipal Transportation Grant, the Federal Gas Tax and the new TAME grant.
Over the next few days, we will go over the purchases in each Town department, portfolio and facilities that we can expect to see in 2018.
Town Council will now bring the 2018 Capital Budget to their next meeting on February 6th for approval.
