Jazz Guys open summer concert series on June 16

Entertainment in West Stettler Park on Wednesday nights return next week – June 9 – for the second summer of top performers from the Stettler region and east-central Alberta.

Hosted by the Town of Stettler, the series features a variety of music each Wednesday at 7 p.m. through to Aug. 25.

“We’ve got a great line-up of performers with a variety of music for all ages and interests,” said Lee Penner, director of Stettler Parks and Leisure Services.

“Musicians and performers are always great and we usually get a lot of enthusiastic people who enjoy the entertainment.”

People are reminded to bring their own chairs and blankets and concerts are scheduled for rain or shine.

• June 23 – Almost Blue with Stages.

• Thursday, July 1 – Canada Day – Loose Change at 8 p.m.

• July 7 – Hammer Union of Stettler area plays classic rock.

• July 14 – Karl Schwonik.

• July 21 – Heartland Arts Troupe Society of Stettler presents drama.

• July 28 – Ronald Pruss and Corina Kerbes.

• Aug. 11 – Stephen Palmer who entertains on Alberta Prairie Railway Excursions.

• Aug. 18 – Plaid Flag.

• Aug. 25 – Domino of Stettler.

“Lots of performers will also provide opportunities for groups to raise funds for community projects and programs,” said Penner.
