Summer Fun Contest comes to a close

It took six long weeks of mostly sunny summer weather for the Stettler Independent to select six lucky qualifiers for its Summer Fun, Food, Fuel and Fashion Contest, but it was worth it for Lesa Miller.

Miller, selected as the third-week qualifier for the grand prize, was chosen out of the six qualifiers, who were themselves chosen from nearly 2,300 entries brought in by eager readers of the Independent.

As the grand prize winner, Miller won a package valued at $900, which included passes to both the Steel Wheel Stampede and the Emerson Drive concert, a Steel Wheel Stampede jacket, and gift cards for Sean’s No Frills, John’s on Main and Central Alberta Co-Op.

The six qualifiers, who with Miller were Nicole Peneff, Charleen Smith, Howard Vincett, Kelly Howe and Shelly Skaley, each won a round of 18 at the Pheasantback Golf and RV Estates north of Stettler.

Congratulations to all the winners.
