This week students were gearing up for the five-day break they just enjoyed. Volleyball season is wrapping up with the JV boys and girls and sr. boys making it to zone playoffs. With the wrapping up of volleyball and football, the basketball season is about to start. Also, archery has started as of last Friday, so make sure to sign up if you’re interested.

This past Friday, students were a part of the annual Remembrance Day ceremony. The SES and SMS joined Wm. E. Hay in honoring the veterans of war. The ceremony was MCed by Alden Mueller, Wm. E. Hay Students Union president, and Taylor Marko presented us with a moving heartfelt speech.

We enjoyed the listening to the Wm. E. Hay band and SES show choir in musical tributes. Thank you to everyone, especially members of the Legion, who were a part of the ceremony.

The fall production of “Bone Chiller” is approaching quickly, shows being on Nov. 27-29. Tickets are available at Well’s Furniture and the high school office.

Our Grade 12s are hard at work preparing for their portfolio presentations the last week of November. If you are hiring a Wm. E. Hay student for a job at your company think about asking them to bring in their portfolio to the interview. They should impress you. That’s all for this week.
