Reading club almost ready to go

We are putting the finishing touches on the TD Summer Reading Club.

STETTLER PUBLIC LIBRARY -- We are putting the finishing touches on the TD Summer Reading Club.

We had a good time at the Steel Wheel Stampede Market and at Sobey’s promoting the program. We met some awesome people and are looking forward to having them in the program with us this summer.

As a reminder, on Saturday, June 25 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., we are hosting a Get Your Summer Read on Day!

On this day our goal is to get 30 kids to register for our program. We will be having games, lunch and drawing for three iPods. Kids who signed up before June 25 and kids who sign up for the program that day will be eligible. We are so excited to answer any questions you may have. The Summer Reading Club starts on Monday, July 4 and will run until Friday, August 26. We can also answer any questions you may have about the library or the summer reading club by calling (403) 742-2292.

For the rest of June we have a few programs planned:

Build Your Own Boat on Thursday, June 23 at 4 p.m.; join us to make your own boat and see if it will float. Please register at the library.

Stettler Reading Program, “Get Your Summer Read on” Day on Saturday, June 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: kick off the summer by registering for the TD Summer Reading Program and be entered to win an iPod. Join us for activities, lunch and to check out where you may be spending your summer.

Read & Rhyme with Kayla will be ending soon. Bring your children ages up to five to sing songs, read books and do activities before the summer begins. Once summer hits, Jessie will be taking over the program on Friday mornings from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. You can also join us for our monthly Pokemon swap meet on June 25 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Keep an eye out for additional activities on our website (spl.prl.ab.ca) and Facebook page. And if you have an activity you’d like to do/see at the library, feel free to approach us.
