No New Year’s dance in Endiang this year - Endiang Enterprise

The weather was superb for Christmas making travel easy for Christmas visitors. The plus temperatures were very easy to take. We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

We extend sympathy to Wes and Karen Gutsche and family on the passing of Karen’s dad, Dan Boettcher, in Hanna on Dec. 15 at the age of 80 years. A private service was held in Hanna on Dec. 20. Our thoughts are with the family in their loss.

Congratulations to Jaymie Wasdal and Travis Clouston on the birth of their second son Jack Harrison Wayne Clouston on Dec. 20. Local grandparents are Murray and Kim Wasdal and great-grandparents Winnie Paulsen and Art and Dot Wasdal.

A couple of former Endiang residents struck it lucky during the holidays, winning a couple of major prizes in the raffle sponsored by the Sunshine Club at the Hanna Lodge. Congratulations to Andy Rock on winning a $15,000 shopping spree at The Brick and to Russell and Leah Baird on winning a big-screen television.

There was a good turnout for the candlelight service at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church on Thursday evening.

Please note there will not be a New Year’s Eve dance in Endiang this year.

Since New Year’s Day falls on Saturday, the garbage transfer station will not be open but instead will be open Jan. 3 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Happy New Year to all, we hope 2011 brings good things your way.
