Many Christmas visitors in community - Halkirk Herald

The weekend before Christmas, Louie and Fern Engel, who now lives in Coronation, had the family celebrating with them, Don and Kjerene of Edmonton, Diane of Didsbury and Dennis and Doris and Wayne of Halkirk.

JD and Sandra Johnson, Devon, Toryn and Aspen were visitors with Cathy and Trent Stang and their girls in Whitecourt, the weekend before Christmas.

The Halkirk Curling Club recently had the opportunity to work two days at the Casino in Red Deer.

Mike Neilson was home visiting from Burnaby, B.C visiting with mom Anne Neilson, Burt and Cindy and their family for the Christmas holidays.

Kent and Evelyn Johnson had their daughters Kim and Kandice and their families home for the holidays spending time with JD, Sandra and the girls.

Rose and Jan Koenraadt had Rose’s mom Enida and sister Donna and her family from Red Deer over for Christmas Day.

There was 17 at the seniors pot luck supper and meeting, followed by floor curling. They are hoping people will try and get their stories in for the history book. The group has decided to try and have a Valentine’s floor curling bonspiel.

As the year closes we wish everyone a Happy New Year, hopefully 2011 will be a better year for everyone.
