The winter weather hasn’t been terrible this year, but spring fever seems to arrive anyway.

We’ve got just the solution—activities of all kinds for all ages. Bring the family to check out our new Interactive Game Zone, a floor mat that puts you directly in the game. Ask about times the Game Zone will be in use.

Or collect images and items that appeal to you all in one place to create a vision board. See below for details.

Children:

When school is out, the library is in!

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is the movie matinee this Friday, March 15, at 1 p.m. Stick around after the movie for a Lego challenge, and a movie-themed craft. Ages six-plus

There is so much to make or do at Something Cool After School on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4 p.m.

Make something soft and sweet into a scene from a book or movie with Peeps on Tuesday, March 19.

On Thursday, March 21, explore the fascinating world of kaleidoscopes by making your own kaledocycle! Ages six-plus.

Stories and songs await little ones 0-5 years old and their parents each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at Read and Rhyme at 10:30 a.m.

To encourage your family reading ask about 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten and we’ll reward you with a small prize for each milestone achieved.

Could your child use help with school? We offer free individualized tutoring for students K-Grade 12 on Mondays from 4-6 p.m., and Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4-8 p.m. Call us for an appointment.

Teens and ’Tweens:

Don’t know how to knit? No problem. You can still make your own toque with a hoop loom on Wednesday, March 20 at 4:30 p.m. Ages 10+.

Adventure calls! Join us for a night of strategy and storytelling with Dungeons & Dragons on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. Ages 13+. (There will be snacks there!)

Adults:

Envision your dreams through the use of a vision board on Wednesday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m.

Bring a friend and enjoy creating a powerful tool that can help you picture goals, dreams, and intentions for your life.

Materials are provided but feel free to bring items that could contribute to your vision. Ages 18+. Please call to register.

Afternoon Friends meets Tuesdays from 1-3 p.m. for fun and games between adults in a low-pressure setting.

On Tuesday, March 19, we’ll enjoy one of our favourites—Bingo.

Join us this month as Reader’s Circle reads Yellowface, by R.F. Kuang, a chilling, yet hilarious novel that speaks to our current cultural moment.

We’ll gather on Wednesday, March 27, at 6:30 p.m. to share our insights, impressions and a spot of tea.

Minds in Motion is a program developed by the Alzheimer Society that provides those with cognitive decline a chance to enjoy themselves in a social setting while participating in light exercise and playing games. Caregivers are welcome.

You may benefit from the support and encouragement of others at Al-Anon meetings if someone close to you drinks too much. We meet Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. to be there for each other.

All Ages:

Storytime for the whole family, Tales at 11, happens on Saturdays at 11 a.m. Afterward, we’ll be opening up the Interactive Gaming Zone for even more fun.

Join our Super Smash Bros. Tournament, on Saturday, March 16 at 1 p.m. We play as our favourite Nintendo characters to see who can endure until the end.

Press Start on Monday Night Gaming from the comfort of your own home this week at 8 p.m. Join the group chat on Discord and meet with other gamers around the region. Call the library for the chat link.

For all your 3D printing, disc cleaning ($2/disc), or technology help needs, contact us. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff are willing to help.
