Knitting and card games are back

School is back in already and there’s lots of pictures on Facebook of Erskine kids. Most of them looked so excited.

The first meeting of the season for the Knitting Club will be on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. at the seniors’ centre. Under discussion will be planning a knitting retreat and other activities. Ladies, please bring any knitting you did throughout the summer.

Seniors crib playing will resume on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 1:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Game night is Thursday night and canasta is on Fridays at 1 p.m. All takes place at the seniors’ centre.

Dance jams resume on Sept. 17 at the IOOF Hall from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Musicians and dancers are most welcome. Come on out and enjoy visiting, listening to the music, or dancing. It’s lots of fun.

The Erskine Recreation Board will have its next meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 7 in the Waverly Club rooms at 7:30 p.m. Final plans will be made for the Erskine Flicks and Floats which will be on Saturday, Sept. 17 this year. Great fun for the whole family.
