Farm safety workshop on April 8 in Byemoor

We had our club’s public speaking event on Thursday, Feb. 16 at the Byemoor School at 7 p.m.

BYEMOOR 4-H BEEF CLUB -- We had our club’s public speaking event on Thursday, Feb. 16 at the Byemoor School at 7 p.m. We had two clever speakers, Riley Charboneau and Alerie Sorenson. In the junior category first place went to Coy Schilling and second to Addison Charbonneau. The first place intermediate winner was Natalie Schilling, while second place winner was Bailey Musgrove. In the senior category, first place went to Trey Nichols and second place to Abby Musgrove.

All the speakers did a great job with interesting topics. Kallie Stewart was our fantastic M.C. for the evening. The first and second place speakers qualify for districts on Wednesday, March 8 in Stettler. I would like to thank our judges for the evening as well as our timers.

On Saturday, April 8 our club will be hosting a farm safety day at the Byemoor arena. The cost of attending it is $20 per participant and this includes lunch, snacks and prizes. The workshop will be interactive and a hands-on session for ages six to eight and nine and above. Pre-registration is required by Monday, March 20. For 4-H members this will count as a district event. Check out our Facebook page for more information and details.

Our next meeting is on Thursday, March 16 in Byemoor at the arena.
