BYEMOOR/ENDIANG NEWS -- Congratulations to former Endiang resident, Shannon Lawlor, on the honour of being selected to create the Calgary Stampede's official 2017 poster. The poster was unveiled in Calgary on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at a private function and will be unveiled publicly in November.

The poster was created to look like something from the early 1900s rather than present day. The canvas painting features heavy horses and a border of 130 iconic western brands along with the logo and name of the Calgary Stampede.

Shannon is an incredibly talented artist and has had her paintings in the Calgary Stampede's Western Art Show for the past eight years.

While she was at Endiang, Shannon designed the cover of Endiang's history book as well as some of the illustrations in it.

Good work Shannon and congratulations on this honour and stepping stone in your career.
