BOTHA BOOSTER -- Tomorrow (Thursday) make sure you come on out at 7 p.m. to the Botha Village Office for their very important monthly meetings.
Then this coming Sunday, make sure you come on out to the Botha Hall at 1:30 p.m. for their fun-filled Valentine Dance, so please feel free to wear something red in color.The "Black Velvet Band" will be entertaining the group that afternoon, so it sounds like a fun time for all. The committee is asking everyone to bring with them either buns/sandwiches, salads or dessert to share at their pooled luncheon.
Monday, Feb 1 is the Botha seniors' meeting starting at 12 p.m. at the seniors' centre. This meeting starts with a pot-luck luncheon to share, meeting to follow right after.
Bingo evening takes place on Wednesday, Feb. 3, starting at 7:15 p.m., doors open at 6:30. So come on out and try out your luck.
Before spring starts happening, make sure to come on out to the Botha Arena and have some fun on the ice. Phone Shaun Derr at 403-742-4811 for more information.
Shaun also takes holdings for the Botha Hall, so make sure you get ahold of Shawn and book your spot now.
Quilting takes place again on Monday, Feb. 8, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the seniors' centre. So please join them there. Quilting is a fantastic craft and they do some beautiful work, so make sure you join them.
Sorry I haven't had any news lately about the Botha School activities, but as soon as the monthly newsletters start up again, I will keep you posted. But so far I haven't seen any.
