Big Valley’s young hockey players will represent community in all-star game bringing pride to all - Big Valley Bulletin

Big Valley is very excited to announce that local boys, Logan Hermus, Dylan Houston and Ty Mappin have been selected out of approximately 200 players from the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League (AMBHL) to represent the Southern Conference in the all-star game being held in Lethbridge on Jan. 8.

All three Big Valley boys are playing on the Red Deer bantam AAA Rebels Black/White teams this year. We are especially proud of our talented players as they work hard to make their marks in the league. Congratulations ,and good luck.

The Big Valley annual children’s Christmas party was a huge success. Special thanks to those who put all the hard work into organizing this event. Rosco the Clown was a huge hit with the whole audience, and, of course, all the children were thrilled with Santa’s visit. Thanks to everyone for helping to bring a little Christmas magic to the children of our community.

The recent Big Valley School Christmas concert, held Wednesday, Dec. 15, was a genuinely special event with a full program designed to entertain. The high standard of all the performances truly showcased our talented students and they exceeded all expectations. The packed audience in the Jubilee Hall demonstrated their appreciation with their loud and prolonged applause.

Once again, we must commend all the teachers and staff for the wonderful job they do in preparing the students for these outstanding performances. We are very grateful for all your hard work and we thank everyone who was involved in the production It was a wonderful evening full of singing and laughter. Hats off to all the performers for a job well done.
