Big Valley’s ‘Christmas in the Village’ on Dec. 22

BIG VALLEY BULLETIN — Come out and see Santa at the Big Valley Children’s Christmas Party on Sunday, Dec. 11 beginning at noon. Everyone is welcome to attend. To pre-register, call or text Brenda at 403-740-6552 or Catrina at 403-741-7320.

The Big Valley School invites you to “A Merry Fairy Christmas” on Monday, Dec. 19 at the Jubilee Hall. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. for a bake sale, with the concert to start at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

The Big Valley Drop-In Centre’s Christmas dinner for members is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 4 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Jubilee Hall.

The Village of Big Valley in conjunction with the Rodeo Association is hosting “Christmas in the Village” on Thursday, Dec. 22 at the Jubilee Hall beginning at 6 p.m. The Rodeo Association will hold their annual sleigh rides and “Best Decorated House Contest” judging, along with a wiener roast around toe-warming bonfires on the lot outside the hall.

New this year, inside the hall you will find free chili and buns as well as an assortment of Christmas treats. Friends of the Library will be offering children’s games and activities and a budget friendly shopping area for children to finish their Christmas shopping.

Adult gaming opportunities include cribbage, cards and board games. There will be entertainment by Rosco, some Christmas caroling and other musical entertainment for everyone’s enjoyment. The Hall Board will be offering a cash bar as well as a variety of free non-alcoholic beverages for children or anyone who enjoys alcohol-free Christmas cheer.

Please come out and join us for a community celebration before the “Big Day.”
